What’s Missing in Your Stainless Steel Screw Kit?

What’s Missing in Your Stainless Steel Screw Kit?

A stainless steel screw kit does not replace every kind of part in your RC vehicle. Before you take the vehicle apart, check which parts the kit includes and which ones you may need to keep or buy separately.

This guide explains what RCScrewZ says about its screw kits. Always read the product page for the exact kit you want. A general guide cannot confirm the contents of every kit.

Some special screws and pins are left out

RCScrewZ says its screw kits do not include pins with screw grooves at one end or certain specially shaped screws. These parts are different from an ordinary screw. Our RC product FAQs explain these standard kit limits. Check your exact kit's product page before you order.

Do not assume a screw kit replaces every pin in your vehicle. Check the parts list in your model's manual. Keep any original parts that the instructions tell you to reuse, and replace worn or damaged parts with the correct replacements.

Why might a new screw look different?

RCScrewZ says it uses screws with finer, more closely spaced grooves in place of some original screws with wider grooves. The supplier also notes that some screw lengths or the shape of the screw's top may differ from the original part.

That does not mean any similar screw will work in any hole. Read the instructions for your exact kit and model. If a screw looks wrong, will not turn smoothly or stops the parts from moving as they should, stop and ask for help. Do not force it or change its length to make it work.

Check these details before you order

  1. Find your exact model. Use the full model name, number and version from the box, vehicle label or manual. A similar name or picture is not enough.
  2. Read the kit's product page. Check which model it is for, what is included and what is left out. Look for any notes about parts you must reuse or buy separately.
  3. Check the model manual. Find the drawing and list for the part you plan to repair. Compare the listed screw type, size and shape with the kit details.

At J-M SUPPLIES RC Parts Store, start with the page for your exact RC model, then open the kit's product page. If the details do not answer your question, ask before ordering. Do not choose a kit just because its name sounds close to your model.

What if you think a part is missing?

Keep the kit together while you check. Compare what you received with the product page and any parts list supplied with it. A part left out by design is different from a listed part that was not packed.

If you need help, have the kit number, your full model number and a clear photo ready. Point out the part in the model manual if you can. Do not replace an unknown part with a screw that simply looks close.

Common questions about screw kit contents

Does a screw kit replace every screw and pin?

Do not assume it does. RCScrewZ names special parts that are not included. Check your exact kit's details and the model manual before starting a repair.

Should I throw away all the old parts?

No. Keep them sorted until you know what the repair needs. Reuse a part only when the instructions allow it and it is still in good condition.

What if the product page does not list the part I need?

Ask for confirmation before you buy. Give the kit number, model number and the part number from the manual. A general description is not proof that a particular part is included.
