Team XRAY X4’24 Graphite: What to Check Before Buying Bearings
Working on a Team XRAY X4’24 touring car? Check your exact version before buying bearings. XRAY identifies the X4’24 Graphite Edition as model 300038. Other X4’24 editions and model years need their own parts checks.
This guide explains how to inspect bearings, compare cover types and read a replacement-kit listing. It does not confirm that any one kit replaces every bearing in your car.
1. Confirm your X4’24 edition
Look for 300038 on the original kit box or manual. Make sure the manual and parts list cover the X4’24 Graphite Edition. An Aluminum Edition or a different model year needs its own checks.
Use the parts drawings to find each bearing location. Parts added or changed after you bought the car may need different bearings from the original parts. Our manual-finding guide can help you get started.
2. Check the bearings before replacing them
With the car switched off and the battery disconnected, check the wheels and the parts that drive them. Rough movement or unusual noise may point to a worn bearing. Gears, belts and other parts can also make turning harder.
If your manual tells you to remove a bearing, check it separately. Look for rough turning, damage, rust or looseness. Keep any small rings and washers in their original order. Follow the manual when putting the parts back together. Do not force a bearing into place.
Read our bearing-cleaning guide for general care tips.
3. Compare rubber and metal bearing covers
Bearings with rubber covers can help keep dust and dirt out. How well they protect the bearing depends on the cover design. A rubber cover does not mean the bearing is waterproof or needs no care.
Bearings with metal covers are often chosen for easy turning in clean, dry conditions. They still need checking and care. Neither cover type by itself guarantees faster laps or a longer life.
For a plain-language comparison, see our bearing-cover guide and video.
4. Compare each size and kit detail
Before choosing replacement bearings, compare all three measurements in your parts list: the size of the center hole, the size across the outside, and the thickness. Measure the hole and outside sizes straight across the center. Also check the drawing for a special shape, such as a raised rim around the outside edge. Match the exact size and shape shown. Do not round a measurement or choose the closest size.
- Exact vehicle: confirm X4’24 Graphite Edition and model 300038.
- Included bearings: compare sizes and quantities with the parts you need.
- Cover type: check the maker’s guidance for your track conditions.
- Kit notes: check what is not included and read any fitting instructions.
Do not assume that a photo, storage case or spare-bearing statement proves the contents of a specific kit. If the listing and your parts drawing disagree, ask us to check before buying. Our RC project help form lets you explain which car and bearing position you are working on.
