Missing Bearings in Your RC Kit? What to Check First

Example parts drawing with a bearing marked

If a bearing seems to be missing from your RC kit, check the kit details before assuming it was left out. Start with what you ordered, the exact vehicle you have and the bearing you need.

The drawing on this page is an example. Use the manual for your exact model before choosing or installing a bearing.

1. Confirm the vehicle and kit

Find your RC brand, full model name, version and model number. Compare them with the kit name on your order confirmation and the label on the kit.

A similar name or picture is not enough to confirm a match. If the vehicle has different parts from the ones it came with, note those changes. The original manual may not describe them.

2. Check what the kit is listed to include

Read the kit's product page, including its list of parts and any notes. Keep the packaging and kit label. Check each bag and compartment before counting the parts.

A bearing shown in the vehicle manual is a part the vehicle uses. That does not, by itself, show that your kit includes it. A kit label helps identify the kit, but does not prove that every listed part is present.

If a part is listed for the kit but you cannot find it, report that difference. If the listing does not say whether the part is included, ask before ordering another kit.

3. Identify the bearing you need

Use the parts drawing and parts list for your exact model. Our guide to finding your model manual explains how to start with the right model number.

  • Part number: copy the vehicle maker's bearing part number, if the manual lists one.
  • Location: show where the bearing goes in the drawing. Mark that spot clearly.
  • Size: copy the size and units exactly as shown in the manual or parts list.
  • Quantity: note how many are needed at that location and how many you found in the kit.

If a detail is unknown, say so. Do not guess a size from a photo or choose a bearing because it looks close. Follow the model instructions and do not force a bearing into place.

4. Gather the details for J-M SUPPLIES

Use our missing-items support page to report the issue. Include:

  • Your order number and the kit name or code.
  • The full vehicle model, version and model number.
  • Any changed parts that affect where the bearing goes.
  • The bearing part number, size, location and quantity, where known.
  • The manual page or drawing label you used to identify the part.

Have clear photos of the kit label, its contents and the marked drawing ready to share if requested. Start with Request missing-items support and explain which details you have.

A missing-part report needs the kit and order details checked. A part appearing in the manual does not, on its own, establish a replacement or delivery promise.

Can I use a bearing from a different kit?

Do not choose by appearance or size alone. Check the exact part, its covers and the model instructions. Our bearing-cover guide with video explains rubber and metal covers in plain language.

What if I cannot find the part number?

Say that it is unknown. Identify the location in the correct drawing and explain what is missing. Ask for help before choosing a different part.
